Therapeutic services offered

In my early professional years I was asking the question: How can I treat, or cure, or change this person? Now I would change the question in this way: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?

What I offer:

19-tinyIt can be overwhelming and confusing seeking help for a particular problem, ranging from identity confusion, mid-life transitions, low self-esteem, bereavement and loss as well as addictive processes/recovery and co-occurring illnesses.

It is not a quick or easy process finding the right treatment that suits your individual needs. I am sure that a lot of questions have emerged during this journey. Whether you are seeking help for yourself, a family member or a friend I can certainly help you and guide you in this process to the necessary help that you needing, treatment options and recommendations – be it outpatient or residential care, and support structures in the wider community.

When facing an addictive process you need not hit “rock bottom” before engaging in a treatment process. In fact, starting addiction treatment early may lead to better results. Even those that say “they aren’t ready” or “don’t really want help” can benefit from the right treatment. Even if you think “you don’t have a problem but others are concerned, rather make an appointment to possibly exclude the possibility of whether you ‘don’t’ have a problem…. or whether you do.

A useful question to ask yourself is ”what are you waiting for to happen before you make changes?” The change process often occurs when humans experience a threat of a loss or a loss.
